Career Expo Event Schedule

The following information outlines the full-service recruiting schedule that the Career Expo can offer to participating employers during their visit to the NMSU campus.

• Travel to Las Cruces,NM.
• Check-in at hotel.

• Travel to Las Cruces; check-in at hotel.
• Morning/Afternoon or any available time during the week: Visit relevant classrooms and faculty, tour the campus, etc. (Contact the Career Services office if you would like contact information or suggestions: Elizabeth Ortega at employer@nmsu.edu.)
• Lunch with faculty. (The Career Services office is available to help coordinate or provide contact information for lunch arrangements during the week.)

• College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences Reception (Map): On behalf of Dr. Lowell Catlett, Dean, and Dr. Jim Libbin, Associate Dean, of the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences please accept this invitation to attend a preview to meet students of the college. The program is a pre-event for employers participating in the 25th annual Career Expo.
  
  Please be our guest on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Gerald Thomas 100 West Café from 5:30 pm � 7:00pm. The students will start arriving at 5:30 pm and guests are requested to have their area set-up at 5:00 pm (small table top display, table cloth and brochures, if available). The reception will afford guests the opportunity to mingle with students. faculty and staff on an informal basis. Please feel free to distribute any available recruiting literature or just enjoy the personal interaction.

  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Expo, Corbett Center Ballrooms.
  • 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM: Lunch - Dona Ana Room (West Side, 3rd Floor). - MENU: TBA (Contact expo@nmsu.edu with special dietary requests). Staggered lunch allows representatives to take turns eating and staffing booth(s). Expo remains open.
  • 3:00 PM: Expo closes. Please complete evaluation forms included in your packet. If you have shipments that need picked up by a carrier, please contact your carrier to make arrangements and notify the staff of Career Services. All shipments should be picked up by 4:00 PM.
