Career Expo Event Schedule

The following information outlines the full-service recruiting schedule that the Career Expo can offer to participating employers during their visit to the NMSU campus.

• Travel to Las Cruces,NM.
• Check-in at hotel.

• Travel to Las Cruces; check-in at hotel.
• Morning/Afternoon or any available time during the week: Visit relevant classrooms and faculty, tour the campus, etc. (Contact the Career Services office if you would like contact information or suggestions: Elizabeth Ortega at employer@nmsu.edu.)
• Lunch with faculty. (The Career Services office is available to help coordinate or provide contact information for lunch arrangements during the week.)
• Afternoon: Visit with faculty or staff. Contact Employer Relations Coordinator at (575)646-1631 or employer@nmsu.edu
• Meet The Firms Participate in Meet the Firms Night sponsored by Beta Alpha Psi, a student accounting fraternity. Hotel Encanto,5:30pm. Contact Accounting & BCS Department (575-646-4901) or Dr. Russell Calk at rcalk@nmsu.edu for more information.

• EXPO AGENDA
  • 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM: Check-in.
  • 7:15 AM - 9:00 AM: Continental breakfast - Dona Ana Room (west side, 3rd Floor)
  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Expo, Corbett Center Ballrooms.
  • 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM: Lunch - Dona Ana Room (west side, 3rd Floor) - MENU: TBA (Contact expo@nmsu.edu with special dietary requests). Staggered lunch allows representatives to take turns eating and staffing booth(s). Expo remains open.
  • 3:00 PM: Expo closes. Please complete evaluation forms included in your packet. If you have any shipments that will need to be picked up by a carrier, please contact your carrier to make arrangements and notify the staff of Career Services. All shipments should be picked up by 4:00 PM.
• Late afternoon/early evening: Visit student organizational meetings. (Contact Career Services Office if you would like contact information or suggestions: Elizabeth Ortega at employer@nmsu.edu.) 
• 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: College of Engineering Career Expo Social at Klipsch Museum Foreman Engineering Complex,NMSU Campus.Contact:Cathy Lindsay, (575) 646-2913 or mail to clindsay@nmsu.edu

  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Lunch - Taos Cafeteria - First Floor, Corbett Center
  • 3:00 PM: Fair closes. Please complete evaluation forms included in your packet.
